Get inspired with a few home trends I have been loving this year! I also have the inside scoop on the new and upcoming 2018 trends!
Home trends can be great, they move us forward and keep us creative. Here are the trends I have loved seeing throughout this year and some up and coming trends for 2018. Today, part one with furniture and accessories...next week, part two with kitchen, bath, lighting and bedroom.
One of the home trends i love to use are ceramic stools. They are great as small accent tables and have been popular in white and navy patterns colors but the upcoming trend for these stools is metallics. Silvers, bronzes, golds and rose gold will bring a great shimmer into any space.
Acrylic bar stools have started to make their mark. They are a clean alternative to rest your eye when you have a space with a lot going on. In 2018, you will start to see more side tables, chairs and accessories in acrylic.
Other small accent tables that you will see a lot of will have agate tops, which are beautiful jewel tone cut stone. The base will usually vary with the color of the agate.
A trend that almost everyone on Pinterest has caught on to in the living room is a bar cart. I’ve seen bars regain their 50's and 60's era popularity of a cocktail before dinner with the comeback of the mixology trend. Large-scale bar books, wine decanters, and cocktail sets have become lovely vignettes.
Live edge coffee tables (or any table or shelf) have been very popular this year! This trend will carry into 2018.
A Beautiful Mess
I have always loved Layering rugs and am thrilled that it has become a trend this past year. This will continue into 2018 with mixing natural sisal and jutes with animal skins or patterned rugs with more pinks.
