INNER ARTIST:  MAKING ART WORK

Transition Your Living Room Into The Fall Season | Inner Artist

September 11, 2017

I’ve come up with five easy tips that will make your living room fall ready in a snap!

I love the fall season! It’s an opportunity to enhance your home with small items that will make a big difference! The great thing about fall is that you can add elements that work both for Halloween and Thanksgiving all at once! While most people do not change out their furniture for the fall season, they do like to add the seasonal touches. This is usually a combination of cozy accessories in warm oranges, browns and golds, but remember, you can also go with beautiful brighter jewel tones that can be just as cozy but give a more festive vibe.   Today I’m sharing five ways you can transition your living room into the fall season seamlessly!

Homey Oh My

Before I begin with the five tips to transition your living room into fall, let's start with a fall color palette! Good colors for this fall are:

Benjamin Moore: Radicchio cc-32

Benjamin Moore Tucson teal 2056-10

Benjamin Moore Warmed Cognac AF 235 (it even sounds yummy and cozy)

1. Pillows

Pillows are one of the easiest ways to change out a season in a home and transition your living room into fall. They can convey whatever mood you want to create. With Inner Artists you can create your custom pillows. (Join our community to learn how!)

2. Pumpkins

Pumpkins are the universal symbol of the fall season. Using them as a centerpiece for your dining room table or credenza as well as a console table in the foyer is ideal for Halloween and then transitions you right into Thanksgiving. If Orange is too bold, paint them a soft white and add other natural/organic accessories to complete the vignette.

3. Candles

Candles are good any time of year, but we tend to burn them more in the fall and winter months. A cozy vanilla or spiced candle always makes us feel better. You can add detail to the holders by tying on something natural, like pine cones, birch or pine.

4. Blankets

We all love when we can snuggle under a thick, soft blanket. These are an excellent way to layer fall decor into your living room or bedroom. Go for the warm colors and lush textures and snuggle up with your special someone with a nice glass of wine or special treat!
