It’s that spooky time again, and the only thing scary is how scary good the art is.
An origin dating back to the 14th century, Friday the 13th usually sparks superstitions, scary stories, and cheap tattoos.
But all the tall tales combined have nothing on the art that comes from the Friday the 13th tradition. Turns out, ghosts, ghouls, and goblins make for great muses!
It’s quite a special day today. The last time that Friday the 13th took place in October was 2006. To [honor] this special day, we compiled a series of some of our favorite art inspired by the holiday – and a bit of our own too.
And here’s what we came up with! Inspired by horror films like It and the 13th superstitions, we combined elements of horror with styles of art.
Show us some of your Friday the 13th inspired art in the comments!
