INNER ARTIST:  MAKING ART WORK

DIY Transforming Pumpkins for the Season | Inner Artist

November 3, 2017

Halloween is over but don’t put the pumpkins away so fast!

The staple of Halloween can stick around for the long haul after all. If you’ve kept your pumpkin indoors and jack-o-lantern cutout free, then you’re good to go for another few weeks.

A little DIY never hurt anyone so here are some of our favorite ways to transform the Halloween leftovers into fall fab.

Fall Floral

Whatever color the pumpkin, add some flowers for a touch of life and an elegant table piece. Add flowers that are light, dark, or somewhere in between to spruce up your leftover pumpkin into a unique vase.

Break out the Spray Paint

Spray paint your pumpkins with glitz and glam for a sparkly touch on fall. Start by sanding off your pumpkins for a smooth surface and then spray them with your choice of color. Transform your entryway, dinner table, or mantle with a new fall look but with the same pumpkins that were there before. Win-win.

A Unique Canvas

Bring out your Inner Artist and take brush to gourd for a festive canvas like no other. Turn the season staple into an art project and make silly cupcake art with the kids, inspired leaves of fall, or decorative strokes of classic designs.

Mix & Match

Accent your pumpkins with pinecones and other dark colors to bring the fall feel into any arrangement. The contrast is a great way to bridge the color palettes of the season all in one place. Consider adding more pumpkins to the mix and pick up uniquely colored ones to pair with what you have already.
