Inspiration Series: Stripes | Inner Artist

December 7, 2017

In our latest design series we took inspiration from all things stripes.

Specifically, we're looking at using black and white as the main colors and tying in some brighter colors as we go on. Trust us, there's more you can do with stripes than you think.

First, we have an abstract series of parallel stripes using only the black and white color scheme:

Then, we tie in a coral pink into a new abstract piece that focuses on the parallel of the lines and angles they create.

Adding a full picture, this design takes the stripe inspiration and adds 3 colors of flowers! Stripes as a background can be a great starting point in your designs.

Not all cacti are green and solid, check out these creative plants for inspiration to think outside the box!

A more complex look at stripes, here is a piece to honor culture and ethnicity. The perpendicular placement of the lines, the abstract flower petals, and the vibrant colors really bring this piece together.
