INNER ARTIST:  MAKING ART WORK

How to Use Art to Guide the Design of Your Space | Inner Artist | Friday Art Tips #3

October 5, 2018

TGIF! We're back with another Friday Art Tip to keep your creativity flowing into the weekend.

There are so many things we love about this space. The dark walls create contrast with the vibrant furniture and bold art. The lighting in the room brightens the strong color without making it too heavy, and the alluring blend of modern and traditional styles make this a space we'd love to hang out in.

Let's talk about the super fun large-scale artwork in the back. We are obsessed! It is the centerpiece of the whole space, and it pops off the black paint to give the room a bold and fun vibe.

Artwork can be a great starting point for designing a room. With this piece hanging on your wall, you could draw from the colors in the art and incorporate them into the fabric on the furniture. The use of color throughout the space draws your eye around the room and makes all the little details pop. Alternatively, you could opt for neutral furnishings and let the art stand alone. Either choice would work beautifully!

What is your favorite detail in this space?
